Sherwin Williams Color of the Year - 2023 Edition

What's the one event that only comes once a year that people can’t stop talking about? Some say it's the most highly anticipated day in America. Christmas? The Super Bowl? 4th of July? Nope, its the Sherwin Williams Color of the year reveal! Okay, not really, but if there’s one thing that really fires up the brothers of Ladder Co Painting its a new year full of trendy colors and transforming that old beige room into something you'd see in Better Homes and Gardens magazine. Sure, maybe we don’t actually circle this date on our calendar, but it really is fun to see what the new industry trends are in interior home painting.

This year we see the color wheel flipped upside down as we change from 2022 color of the year “Evergreen Fog” to 2023’s “Redend Point”. Described as minimal, calming, and intriguing this color is quite versatile as it can work anywhere from a comforting backdrop to trendy kitchen cabinets. This color pairs well with other warm earthy tones like Hushed Auburn, Sage Green, Malted Milk, and Urbane Bronze. (Note: these are not made up paint names.. yes Malted Milk is a real color). All joking aside, its always fun to see customers take the leap of faith from the safe play of Agreeable Gray to something like this Redend Point.

Interior painting trends in Raleigh tend to follow more of a brighter and lighter color palate than that which you would see in a northern home, or a home in the mountains. That is why we are excited about this year’s color. We think Redend Point is going to be a great compliment to the current trends we see in the Triangle area and can’t wait to add it to our portfolio. All of the info on Redend Point and all of the past Sherwin William colors of the year can be found here. And as always, please reach out to us at any time for a free estimate and/or consultation!Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
